Christmas Exhibition
15 January, 2008 by Timon
Despite a stagnant pre-christmas retail period, especially in the art sector, I still sold several of my new prints and have received great feedback about them. I expect to sell many more of them. I am going to send the two Chatham Island prints to Fishers Gallery in Christchurch, along with a couple of Christchurch prints that I am currently working on, and have already sent one to 'Art of This World' in Devonport. Incidently, 'Art of This World' gallery and 'Exhibitions Gallery' (Wellington) have submitted me for volume 2 of the book "New Zealand's Favourite Artists', and it looks as though I have been selected. I will keep you posted!
Grand Canyon trip
15 January, 2008 by Timon
In August this year, a group of kayaking friends and myself are booked to paddle the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River. This is a committing and long trip of about fifteen days through incredible scenery and rapids with huge whitewater. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which I am looking forward to enormously. I will use this trip as an opportunity to take photographs which I will hopefully use as reference for paintings and limited edition prints.

I am about to start work on four limited edition prints for this group show which opens on the 30th of November and runs until Christmas. The sizes of the prints will be no greater than 50 x 50 cm (framed) which is a criteria for any works in the show. Prices of my prints will be roughly $250-$350 unframed plus approximately $150 for framing. This group show opens at Fishers Gallery, Featherston St, Wellington, on the 30th of November and runs until Christmas. The sizes of all works in the show will be no greater than 50 x 50 cm (including framing).
